Come Shape The Future Of The Foundation
Are you a relationship builder passionate about education and community impact? The Sedalia School District Foundation (SSDF) is looking for a dynamic Executive Director to lead our organization into its next chapter!
Founded in 1995, SSDF connects community generosity with meaningful opportunities for Sedalia School District #200 students, educators, and alumni. We proudly manage over 44 scholarship funds, award more than $80,000 annually to graduating seniors, and steward endowed funds exceeding $2 million.
About the Role:
As our Executive Director, you will serve as the chief staff leader, principal fundraiser, and primary community representative. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, you will provide strategic and operational leadership to preserve our strong administrative legacy while expanding our fundraising capacity and community partnerships.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Strategic Leadership & Board Partnership: Partner with the Board to execute annual operating plans and budgets, and represent the Foundation at Sedalia 200 School District Board meetings.
Resource Development & Donor Relations: Build and manage a sustainable fundraising program, cultivate meaningful donor relationships, and develop consistent recognition practices.
Programs & Scholarships Oversight: Oversee our scholarship, dual-credit, and educational programs, coordinating committee reviews and awards while strictly honoring donor intent.
Events & Community Engagement: Maintain consistent visibility within the community to increase awareness for the Foundation's mission. You will lead the planning and execution of our annual golf tournament, alumni activities, and scholarship recognition events.
This is a hands-on leadership role perfect for someone who moves comfortably between high-level vision and daily execution.
